Chastize me all you want, I love this movie.

Sure, most sports movies made now just follow the formula of Remember the Titans ie. Conflict + Underdog = heart-warming story, and maybe that’s the case in Miracle, but nevertheless, it’s a good movie.
Based around the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team, it tells the story of an underdog, underage, and underexperienced team made of college hockey players that are assembled into a team and forced to face the best team in the world at that time, from the USSR.
Not only is this a story of hockey, but it accurately reflects the story of growth as a team, and the bond of an entire nation. The announcer says it best at the final game when he states that the arena is full, and a nation who doesn’t even know what hockey is watches every move intently.
I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

amazing movie…until today I have not found another fan! if you watch the extras, it shows the real plays next to the recreated ones and the only difference is that the recreated ones are better quality. the famous line “do you believe in miracles?” at the end of the game is the real recording from the actual game because they couldn’t get the same emotion from the guy they hired…it’s incredibly intense
