Recent Happenings in the L

I’ve been reading Gilbert Arenas’ blog on nba.comlately, and while it provides me with some comic relief, it also provides insight into the mind of a big name player.

I’ve never been a big Hibachi fan, but it’s nice to get an inside perspective on things, and I think it helps see how human these guys really are. They play Xbox, they like to be famous and popular, and liked, they like fast food, and they struggle with their own ego problems aside from basketball. I think it brings things down to earth.

That being said, I’ve also been on a blog drought, but I’ve been around. Recently in the NBA there have been some big moves.

The Blazers of course got the #1 pick, and drafted Mr. Oden, Seattle drafted K.D. and then of course there’s the big news of K.G. goin’ to Boston, along with Ray Allen, and they already have P2, so lookout in the East.

My prediction now is, Boston is gonna go into the 3rd round of the East, and it’s going to be Boston and Detroit.

In the west it’s gonna be PHX and SA again. PHX will win this time, and win the championship.

If they win it all, Nash is going to retire, or at least, there will be some major speculation about it.

Why I love Claimjumper

Tonight was really not that special. After playing some basketball and lifting weights at 24hr fitness, getting my foot stepped on about three times, and getting kicked in the nar-nar, I went out to eat with a group of friends at our usual place, Claimjumper.

Soldier Burning

Not sure how many of you have heard about this, but a few days ago there was an anti-war protest that took place in Portland, Oregon.

I’ve got one thought to get across to anyone who participated. Leave our country. Seriously. What liberals and left-wing nuts just don’t seem to understand is the complete picture of the world. I’ve also noticed, that most people who are so against America have never travelled or been to many other places in the world.

People chastize conservatives for being uneducated, but I think it’s actually quite the opposite. Once you travel the world, you will really start to appreciate what we have in America. However, if you still hate it, and want us to get out of Iraq, and leave anyone alone, just go to Canada, find one of the still very unexplored spots, and start up your hermit life there.

Something tells me that after you’ve gone for a week without your cell phone, e-mail, or anything else that the evil country of America has taken part in, or adopted, you’ll realize that maybe you should just come back, shut up, and actually do something worthwhile. Like get a job.
